Philadelphia Eagles Hit New Low

Pulling their starting quarterback who had been reasonably effective in a three-point game in the fourth quarter in favor of a mop-up man ...

I thought it would be hard to get any lower than Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East. The Eagles proved me wrong tonight.

The Eagles' third-string QB, Nate Sudfeld, was wholly incompetent, with his crowning achievement being a fumbled snap after the Eagles had picked off Alex Smith. I felt bad for the Giants.

Apparently, the Eagles must have their eye of some player that they can only get if they pick 6th rather than 9th.

Here's an idea. How about you don't win six games and expect another team to get you into the playoffs with the worst record ever.

Thanks, Philly! You did us all a favor.

I was half asleep and, to further add to confusion, was watching the Univision feed (cable company dispute with our local NBC channel blocked the game). Woke up and Hurts wasn't in, and I wondered what had happened, because the camera kept cutting to him on the sidelines and he didn't look hurt.

If you're going to tank a game, tank it from the start, not in the middle of the fourth quarter when it's still doable.

Wonder if the league is going to have anything to say about it.

If only the Giants had Bill Bellichick and Cam Newton, they could have won that elusive one additional game....

When you have a chance to hand a 6-10 team a division title, you go for it, dammit! Shame on Philly for not realizing the historical significance their victory would have sealed...

Seven wins for the G-men would be more than they had in six of the last seven years. #dynasty

You're absolutely right about that. Thank heavens the WFT made it in with a much more "respectable" 7-9 record

Seriously, I have no love for the Giants (wide right still haunts my fandom), but I do feel bad for my Big Blue-loving grandson. Although from time to time he lacks a bit of perspective..like when he complains "how long" it's been since the Giants won the Super Bowl. I just give him "the look" and point to the Bills sweatshirt I'm wearing :(
