Lead singer of the British 60s group, Gerry and the Pacemakers, whose hits included Ferry Cross the Mersey and Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying.

Age 78.

He was a constant presence on my family stereo in those days of the mid-60's. LOVED his records..had 'em all. STILL love those songs. It's Gonna Be Alright is my favorite.

A lot of folks don't know that not only was Marsden from Liverpool, the group was also managed by Beatles manager Brian Epstein.
