Funky election result in Montana that I have noticed before.

There can't be very many states where the county with the state's largest city votes more Republican than the state as a whole.

-Billings-Yellowstone County.

It didn't happen this election-but the only other example I can think of is that Maricopa County (Phoenix) might have a tendency to vote more Republican than Arizona in a lot of elections-but that is also funky because Maricopa is so big that a lot of the suburbs and exurbs are in Maricopa.

I am a little surprised that the counties north of Missoula around Flathead Lake and west of Glacier Park voted as Republican as they did. Been through that area a few times now and I get more of a Jackson/Bozeman type vibe than otherwise.

Personally, that is probably the only part of Montana I don't care for. But I absolutely love the area east of Glacier. For those that don't know-the big Biden win in Glacier County (blue county east of Glacier Park) is due to the Blackfoot Indian Reservation.

The reservations here in Arizona went over 90% for Biden.

That is normal for Indian reservations. They tend to vote about 90% Democrat consistently.

It is hard to pick out at the county level because reservations may not match the county.

Yes, but you can look at the precinct results.
