RIP Abby

Literally here one day and gone the next. Our yellow lab mix, easily the sweetest dog we've ever had. A rescue who had to be given up by her first family for financial reasons, and then she found us. It was an aggressive sarcoma; yesterday was the first day she had shown any discomfort, and then the diagnosis. She was obviously uncomfortable. Even if she had surgery, it was likely that it had already spread and she wouldn't see many more days. We're not putting her through that. GW will be with her at the end. We know it's necessary, she knows she was loved, but it doesn't make it any easier.
