Eric Bailey
Bus driver

Jimmy asks him what it's like driving a bus in a pandemic. The worst thing about it is the traffc, and the best thing is meeting all kinds of people. He loves his job. The smartest person he knows is Alberto Argueta. He's never been on Eric's bus. Alberto is studying to be a criminal lawyer.

$100: By definition, a whiteout is a weather condition in which the appearance of what "reduces visibility almost to zero"?
A - dew
B - snow
C - rainbows
D - guys named Chad

Eric says that he's never seen snow.
Spoiler
Answer: B (snow)
$200: Crayola uses which of these slogans?
A - The Art of Childhood
B - The Art of Puberty
C - The Art of Middle Age
D - The Art of Menopause
Spoiler
Answer: A (The Art of Childhood)
$300: Seen donning a face mask in 2020, the famous Rocky statue in Philadelphia would have a hard time gripping hand sanitizer because he's wearing what?
A - oven mitts
B - foam fingers
C - boxing gloves
D - wool mittens

Eric says that Philly gets cold so wool mittens might be a good idea.
Spoiler
Answer: C (boxing gloves)
$500: In 2020, who sent 500 copies of her latest Book Club selection, "Caste: The Origin of our Discontents," to CEOs and lawmakers across the country?
A - Nicole Kidman
B - Beyonce
C - Meryl Streep
D - Oprah Winfrey

Eric says that all four may have book clubs, but Oprah's is the most well-known.
Spoiler
Answer: D (Oprah Winfrey)
$1000: Which game's unique name comes from the fact that its inventors liked to play it on their boat?
A - Parcheesi
B - Scrabble
C - Yahtzee

A - quills
B - antlers
C - suckers
D - whiskers

Eric was going to say "tentacles" but that wasn't an option.
Spoiler
Answer: C (suckers)
commercial break

Jimmy said that people don't think of bus drivers as essential workers but they are because if they don't go to work, others can't get to work. He asked Eric if he had any second thoughts about going back to work; Eric said he didn't miss a beat.

$4000: What does the "K" stand for in the popular music genre K-pop?
A - Korean
B - Kenyan
C - Kuwaiti
D - Kyrgyzstani
Spoiler
Answer: A (Korean)
$8000: Due to its deodorizing properties, what food waste does Popular Mechanics suggest you stuff into an old sock to use as an air freshener in your car?
A - coffee grounds
B - potato peels
C - chicken bones
D - eggshells

Eric doesn't think potato peels is right, unless they heat up and smell like french fries. He discount eggshells and chicken bones. He feels pretty confident but he wants to consult Alberto and make sure he's still awake. Alberto thinks it's A also.
Spoiler
Answer: A (coffee grounds)
$16,000: Brad Pitt scored an Emmy nomination in 2020 for his "Saturday Night Live" portrayal of what well-known figure?
A - Mark Zuckerberg
B - Dr. Anthony Fauci
C - Vladimir Putin
D - Robert Mueller

Eric normally works the PM shift so he doesn't get much chance to watch SNL. Alberto didn't watch this episode but he thinks he read that it was Dr. Fauci. He doesn't see Brad Pitt looking like any of the others.
Spoiler
Answer: B (Dr. Anthony Fauci)
$32,000: Though some prefer "wenis," olecranal skin is the medical term for the loose, excess skin at the end of a person's what?
A - knee
B - heel
C - elbow
D - chin

Eric shoots this back to Alberto. The first thing that came to his mind isn't one of the choices. He has no idea. He says that knees and elbows bend and extra skin would be needed there but they can't both be right. He doesn't see much excess skin on the heel. Eric says that "olecranal" makes him think of the head. His gut tells him to go with D.
Spoiler
Answer: C (elbow)
Jimmy says that Eric still gets $32,000.

I agree that it isn't going to be knee or heel. If my "smartest person" couldn't help me work through this, I'd be in trouble because 50:50 probably would leave C and D, and I doubt that "ask the host" would be of any use. Maybe my phone a friend would be able to do it (just ask for definition of "olecranal").

Jimmy says that Eric still gets $32,000.
So essential workers get the guaranteed $32,000 like the celebrities? That takes the pressure off.
