I predict he'll be headed to a country that doesn't have an extradition treaty with the United States, possibly before the end of his term.

Donald Trump 10/16/20 wrote:You know what? Running against the worst candidate in the history of American politics puts pressure on me. Could you imagine if I lose? My whole life—what am I going to do? I’m going to say, I lost to the worst candidate in the history of politics! I’m not going to feel so good. Maybe I’ll have to leave the country, I don’t know.

This relates to something I've wondered for some time--why did he run?

From what we've seen over the past four years, it certainly can't be out of a genuine desire to serve the nation and improve the lives of the people. Nor do I think it's sufficient to say it's simply a matter of ego, to enrich himself and his friends, or as Howard Stern believes, to boost the ratings on Celebrity Apprentice (meaning he had no intention of actually winning. Oops.)

Trump has been in serious legal jeopardy for years. Taxes, Cy Vance in the Southern District, lawsuits over Trump U, bank fraud...and you wonder if, at some point, someone whispered in his ear (Michael Cohen?) "you know, if you're President, they can't touch you." This would also explain what I at least perceive is an abnormal level of desperation about November 3rd--no candidates wants to lose...but what would you be willing to do if you believe you're going to jail if you do? A US version of Bibi Netanyahu.

Funny thing is, though, that by running he also increased his legal vulnerability by bringing his personal behavior into play. No need to pay off Stormy Daniels if you're just TV host and pitch man The Donald.

I've got a $1 bet at 5:1 odds that Joe Biden is inaugurated as the 47th President in January.

I think a post-Electoral College resignation, making Pence #46, followed by a federal pardon, is a reasonable possibility.
The past two prime numbered presidencies began with "B"; why not extend the streak? (I'd also be happy to see Biden as #46 and then Buttigieg as #47.)

Ah, you are just "Toobining" again. What is this? The 427th time that you have predicted he won't finish the term? Hand getting a little sore, is It?

I saw Toobin's statement about this incident. He says he made a mistake and thought he had "muted" the video portion of his stream. As if beating off during a business meeting would be perfectly OK, were it being done in secret.

While I largely disagree with you on the second paragraph-ie somebody had to take on China and (to the surprise of many) he is the most pro-life president in however long.

Going back to the first paragraph-It is probably not a bad gig to go down in history as a United States president. History will judge him over time and it really won't matter how many times SSS Toobined himself thinking that Trump wouldn't finish his term.

Jeffrey Toobin is yesterday's news.

You should say "It really won't matter how many times SSS Giulianied himself..."

"Pro-life"? Puh-leeze! While he may be anti-abortion, "pro-life" means (or should mean) more than just that. It means caring for children after they are born. It means caring about people who contract COVID. It includes "Black Lives Matter". By those measures Trump hardly qualifies as "pro-life".

If this holds, he'll be even busier.

Nice try though, Mr. Barr.
