COVID at Buffettina’s Middle School

#1 Post by Buffacuse » Thu Sep 17, 2020 6:48 pm

Just announced this evening...ratifying the wisdom of our decision to keep her home remote learning, but scary nonetheless. I keep thinking about all those parents who fought like hell to be able to send their kids back—the overwhelming majority who spoke out in our district wanted it open. I’m praying this doesn’t lead to a tragedy, and I’m wondering if anyone’s life—student or staff—is less important than everyone’s need for taxpayer funded daycare. Let’s be real about this—leaving all the convenient rationale aside about the benefits of in-person learning—this is about daycare.

And, in our particular very well-heeled district, it has a lot more to do with nail appointments than getting to work.

Shameful.

Glad you are in the position to have her home learning.

Hope her friends and schoolmates have a full recovery

Not to mention the teachers and staff staying safe. --Bob
