Maps to the Stars

Last night we watched it. We'd put it on our Netflix watchlist thinking it would be a quirky whatever. Some Canadian actors, director, I like Canada stuff since it's usually not run of the mill. This was a "savage satire of Hollywood".

As beginning credits started I saw Cronenberg and thought "Um, we might have to redefine quirky..."

The quirk was on steeeroids I must say. This flick was fehhked up. Literally and figuratively. It was good, funny in parts and gruesome, but whooboy there was pretty much no redeeming social value. I must give props to the guy going full frontal...

You may like The Frozen Ground on Netflix; it's based on a true story. It stars Nicolas Cage as a detective and John Cusack as the killer, Robert Hansen. It's not as dark as I would have written it.
