2 of the things I decided to treat myself to after 50.
I take a sip of scotch now and then, but yesterday turned out to be my once a year or so shave at the barbers with the straight razor.
I found myself in town with a few days growth and starting to need a haircut so I used the excuse.
Haircut $12 and shave $8.
It hurts during the shave-but boy does it feel good afterwards-highly recommended.
barber said my whiskers are like wire bristles-(but, he says that to all the boys-LOL) I think it hurt more because of the stage of growth-a few days longer and they would have started to soften up.
If life was fair-I would not have to shave for another month.
A beautician that we know would like to come sometime when I get a shave and watch as she has never seen it done before.

I haven't shaved since I turned 65.
I drink Scotch only at gatherings when I don't want to drink much, I don't like it.
