The Peach Bowl Committee has scheduled three opening games in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta to start this season: Florida State-West Virginia, Georgia-Virginia, and Auburn-North Carolina.

The problem is the Committee is saying that if there aren't fans in the stands, they can't do the games. The problem, of course, is money. They only make money off of ticket sales, while the television money goes to the respective conferences involved.

This might be a negotiating tactic to get a piece of the TV pie to make up for loss of fans in the seats, Or it may force the cancellation of these games, pandemic notwithstanding.

(On a related note, I have tickets to the Bama - USC Opponent To Be Named Later game in Dallas. It will be interesting to see how that plays out. While the original game is officially cancelled, there is still a ball game scheduled for then at the stadium and no mention of refunds yet.)

As a result of the ACC's decision to bar teams from playing non-conference out of state games, all three of these games will be canceled.
