I've given less concern for John McCain's age ever since I saw his mother. At 96, she seems at least 20 years younger than my own mother, who was born 10 years later.

Those are some good genes!

I will admit to being younger than John. I see SC gave no such admission. :D

Being hip or cool, by saying "Oh, did I forget to mention "war hero" is younger than John McCain.

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

He also shows fewer signs of Alzheimer's than Reagan did during his campaigns and years in office. It's not high on my list of concerns about him.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.
