WTF???
That was such a staged photo op.
Sudden instigation against the protestors, timed for his speech.
Dear God, what are you people letting happen?

It appeared to me that they were running carefully selected clips to coincide with Trump's carefully written statements.
Somebody did a nice job with that speech. She or he deserves a big raise.

The carefully selected clips were the scene in Lafayette Square Park a few minutes earlier, when they cleared out the peaceful protesters with tear gas, rubber bullets, and flash bangs.SportsFan68 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 01, 2020 6:43 pmIt appeared to me that they were running carefully selected clips to coincide with Trump's carefully written statements.

And focibly removed clergy from the grounds of St John's Episcopal Church. They were handing out water, hand sanitizers and helping to clean out eyes from the tear gas. Truly unforgivable.

Could we borrow Trudeau for a couple of months? I loved his response to the question about how Trump was doing.

I know our country is uniquely racist and not recognizing looters' rights is especially racist. Plus, Canada's population is 1/10 of ours, and scale of protests is probably hard to get your head around. Eh?

If you think the looters are all Black, you're wrong. There are many accounts of White provocateurs starting the looking and object throwing.Beebs52 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 12:29 pmhttps://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbc.ca/amp/1.5596346

Don't use 'whataboutism' with me, Missy. My comment was about the attack on the protesters at Lafayette park for a photo op by Trump and Barr. Never said a word about looters, racism or scale.Beebs52 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 12:29 pmhttps://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbc.ca/amp/1.5596346

Re: WTF???
When you said "not recognizing looters' rights is especially racist". That certainly implies that all looters are black. At least that's how I read it, and I suspect I'm not the only one.Beebs52 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 2:07 pmWhere did I say all looters are black? We know they're not. Re: WTF???
Then I should have phrased it differently. It was sarcasm, something some a yas are not good at. Apparently I need to dumb down.earendel wrote: ↑Wed Jun 03, 2020 2:17 pmWhen you said "not recognizing looters' rights is especially racist". That certainly implies that all looters are black. You do realize that pretty much any response to the looting etc is labeled racist, right?

I should have said any response to looters is undoubtedly fascist. I need to be precise.
