Former All-Pro running back with the Philadelphia Eagles turned actor/singer. He was on the Eagles team that won the 1960 NFL championship and retired as a member of the Colts following the Super Bowl loss to the New York Jets. As an actor, his best known role was in Nashville (in a real stretch, playing a singer named Tommy Brown). Ironically, he is the second listed star of Nashville to die in the last week, following Allen Garfield.
Age 82.

Brown is also the third Philadelphia Eagles star to pass away this week, after his teammate Pete Retzlaff and Tom Dempsey.
