RIP (maybe) Logan's Roadhouse

This probably won't be the only restaurant chain this happens to. They were in financial distress going into this crisis.

We have quite a few places we are concerned about here - both in Philly and our just-outside area in Plymouth Meeting.

We have a neighborhood group going to order seafood from the retail outlet of a local wholesaler. The business, Samuels & Sons, has had to cut back on employees (500 to 200) and we wanted to do out part to keep it going.

We are also doing produce from a local produce place. AND we're trying to arrange the seafood truck parking on the produce parking lot, so people can do multiple pickups.

But, I fear will we have some RIP (maybes) in our future, too.

We had three or four Logan's here in Atlanta, but they were all well south of town, far beyond what we would drive to. For a while they ran coupons in the Sunday paper, but when I saw how far out they were, we didn't go.

Another chain that closed all its Georgia locations before the current crisis is Fuddrucker's. We enjoyed going (especially when they ran a bunch of two-fers), but last summer, they closed all their Georgia locations. including a couple that were fairly close to us.

Two of my sons work at a Logan's here - or I should say "worked". The local franchise tried doing what other restaurants are doing - carryout or delivery, but they gave it up only a couple days after the governor issued the order to stop in-house dining. One of my sons said that they were having trouble making payroll before the shutdown.
