ABC has announced that Boston Legal will be back next year.
And David Kelley will have another ABC series, Life on Mars, which, despite the title, is a bout a modern day detective who goes back in time to 1973. It's based on a BBC series of the same name.

That is wonderful news. Boston Legal and the Office are the only network series that my wife and I watch each week (usually TIVO'd, but we don't miss an episode of either). And we both think The Office has lost some of its spark since the writer's strike, so Boston Legal returning is a very good thing.

I really like Boston Legal.
The relationship that has developed between Spader's and Shatner's characters has me totally enrolled.

Oh sure, more David Kelley crap. Meanwhile "New Amsterdam" and "Journeyman" get the ax!
I'm in the wrong demographic.
Sadly, that is nothing new...

I have no dog in the David Kelley or New Amsterdam fights, but why is it necessary to refer to shows people just said they liked as crap? Isn't there some way to say you don't like a thing without implying that other people who like it are deficient?
I have the same issue when some of us talk about music, and there are folks who can't say they dislike a musical genre or artist without implying those who do are somehow ignorant or vapid.
It's fine for me to say I dislike rutabaga. But I can do so without saying those who DO like rutabaga are misguided or uneducated.

On a scale of 1 to 10 with the relationship between Ellie Mae Clampett and Mr. Drysdale being a 1 and the relationship between Carey Elwls' and Mandy Patinkin's charcters in The Princess Bride being a 10, the Boston Legal relationship you speak of is a generous 4.5.

Yeah, probably.
Oh sure, more David Kelley shows that I don't happen to care for. Meanwhile...
