He is apparently a communist
If you're going to judge Senator Sanders by the statements allegedly made (assuming O'Keefe didn't invent the whole thing, as he's demonstrated he's perfectly capable of doing) by some low-level campaign worker, it seems only fair to judge Donny by the company he keeps. How many criminal convictions so far? --Bob
I throw that back at you, bobby. If you are judging trump by all these alleged associations he's had, it seems only fair to judge sanders by his supporters, don't you think? Do you want to put all "deplorables" in a gulag? Your logic is impeccable.Bob78164 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2020 4:02 amIf you're going to judge Senator Sanders by the statements allegedly made (assuming O'Keefe didn't invent the whole thing, as he's demonstrated he's perfectly capable of doing) by some low-level campaign worker, it seems only fair to judge Donny by the company he keeps. I'd venture that most of Sanders' supporters aren't his dinner guests at Mar-a-Lago and won't get high positions in his cabinet if he's elected.flockofseagulls104 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2020 10:01 amIf you are judging trump by all these alleged associations he's had, it seems only fair to judge sanders by his supporters, don't you think?
Most of Sanders' supporters are miseducated, indoctrinated socialists who have no idea of the brutal history of socialism and communism. But have no fear. Bernie Sanders will do it right this time.silverscreenselect wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2020 10:55 amI'd venture that most of Sanders' supporters aren't his dinner guests at Mar-a-Lago and won't get high positions in his cabinet if he's elected.flockofseagulls104 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2020 10:01 amIf you are judging trump by all these alleged associations he's had, it seems only fair to judge sanders by his supporters, don't you think?
What brutal socialist governments have there been? Instead of simply labeling Bernie a socialist as a be-all and end-all that he is therefore the boogie man, what specific policies of his do you think will lead us to ruin?flockofseagulls104 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 11:51 amBut again, don't worry. Venezuela did it wrong. Bernie will get it right.

If you would like an opinion that you can discredit by saying the authors are extreme right wingers, they don't know what their talking about, or accusing them of being all in for trump, or perhaps showing us that Rachel Maddow knows more then they do, here's one:

Pretty much all of them. When you start taking wealth from those who have earned it and give it to those who haven't, as Thatcher put it, sooner or later you run out of other people's money. The only sure way to continue is to eliminate and/or silence those you are taking from.silverscreenselect wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 12:42 pmInstead of simply labeling Bernie a socialist as a be-all and end-all that he is therefore the boogie man, what specific policies of his do you think will lead us to ruin?flockofseagulls104 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 11:51 amBut again, don't worry. A lesson that oil and gas companies have learned far too well. They're defending their tax subsidies by (among other tactics) supporting politicians who would disenfranchise those who oppose the corporate giveaways. --Bobflockofseagulls104 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 1:54 pmPretty much all of them. Blah blah blah. Yeah, we know. And they're both democrat and republican. So what's new? And what does it have to do with what I was talking about? Nothing. Let's just change the subject to something you're outraged about and ignore the main subject.Bob78164 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 1:57 pmA lesson that oil and gas companies have learned far too well. Well, the other Westernized countries in the world have been doing this for decades and haven't run out of money yet. and "pretty much all of it" isn't a specific answer. You just like to make grandiose claims about what Bernie or any of the Democrats want to do without examining the specifics. That way you can just call him a socialist and end the discussion.flockofseagulls104 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 1:54 pmWhen you start taking wealth from those who have earned it and give it to those who haven't, as Thatcher put it, sooner or later you run out of other people's money.
Because I used to live in Venezuela, I have a fair amount of interest in their government and people.flockofseagulls104 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 2:07 pmNo it isn't. Who told you that? Venezuela was once the most wealthy country in South America. It has an abundance of natural resources. Then they elected a charismatic socialist, Hugo Chavez, who, like Bernie, promised a utopia on earth. Look where they are now, BJ. They are pretty much a dictatorship under Nicky Maduro. That's what Bernie wants. Bernie has more ties to Russia, (or should I say the USSR) than trump could ever hope for.
That's all I will say to you. You're one of those indoctrinated teenagers. Go run along, now.
So you have joined the 2 other experts on the bored who know everything about everything. The world better sit up and take notice that you consider Chavez and Maduro full blown communists. Just so you can excuse the suffering of the people of Venezuela and defend socialism.Bob Juch wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 8:52 pmBecause I used to live in Venezuela, I have a fair amount of interest in their government and people.flockofseagulls104 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 2:07 pmNo it isn't. The Partido Socialista Unido de Venezuela has a platform that I consider Communist, not Socialist. Remember what the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics was?
Today's Russia and Bernie have entirely different agendas.
I am in no way a Bernie supporter.
And you have yet to mention one specific policy of Bernie Sanders' that you consider socialistic. "Pretty much all of them" is not an answer; it's a copout. Just labelling Sanders a socialist or communist so you can compare him with Chavez is a copout as well.flockofseagulls104 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 11:34 pmThe world better sit up and take notice that you consider Chavez and Maduro full blown communists.
You repeated the "Bernie is not a Democrat" thing like BobJ. Forgetting Veritas stuff, you apparently disregard that Bernie is RUNNING AS A DEMOCRAT. Why could that be...oh I dunno.silverscreenselect wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 6:46 pm
So, your argument here is confusing. Is Bernie Sanders the real face of the Democratic party (leaving aside the fact that he's not a Democrat) or are Democrats cruel because they won't play nice with Bernie?
