After watching the wrap-up show for this season of Survivor I realize that I will never try for the show. I've been an on and off (mostly on) fan since season #2 and have frequently flirted with the "what if" thought of trying for it. Usually my reservations are of the practicle sort - I run my own business and cannot possibly afford the two months time that a survivor taping needs. However, as this season made very clear, I just don't have the "game" within me. I just can't even consider selling my beliefs for a shot at a million. Frankly, I'd rather squash a hampster.

If I were 10 years younger, I might have given it a shot. With my bad back, I would not be able to survive sleeping on the ground or doing some of the very physical challenges. I have no problem with the people skills necessary as I can separate looking at it as a "game" versus how I act outside the game.

This is how Survivor Bixby would go.

We are someplace really hot in the sun with little food and very annoying people.

I kill everybody.

The End

I would never try out for this show because I don't do well with no food.

I believe that is called "The Mole"!

Or at least the C list "celebrity" version was.

I hope the changes that have been made prove to truly be improvements because I kinda liked this show even though it needed some polish. It is one I might even consider trying out for.

Probably not.

But maybe!
