This year's Kennedy Center honorees have been announced:
Earth, Wind, and Fire
Sally Field
Linda Ronstadt
Michael Tilson Thomas
Sesame Street

This is the second time one of the honorees is an entity other than an individual. (Hamilton last year was the first.)

Sally Field
They must really like her.

And now Linda Ronstadt finally knows when she'll be loved.

And all of Earth, Wind, and Fire's dreams have come true; it's a land called fantasy.

I assume that, by this, that you're referring to Sesame Street, but does that description not apply to EW&F (and every other band ever honored), too?

You're right, of course. But in all those cases, the honor is for the people (even under a corporate name). Hamilton and Sesame Street were honored as single achievements. That's what I should have said.

The Kennedy Center announced its second group of recipients this year (last year's awards were postponed because of the pandemic). The awards ceremony will take place in December. They are:

Justino Diaz
Berry Gordy
Lorne Michaels
Bette Midler
Jonie Mitchell

The only one of these with any significant acting credentials is Bette Midler.
