Dr. John, a true New Orleans music legend, dies at age 77
I hope he's now in the right place at this right time.
Dr. John, the six-time Grammy Award winner whose gritty voodoo-inspired stage persona and whimsical way of speaking were as beloved in New Orleans as his piano-playing, has died. He was 77 years old.
A family statement released by his publicist says Dr. John, who was born Mac Rebennack, died early Thursday (June 6) of a heart attack.
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.
~~ Thomas Jefferson
War is where the government tells you who the bad guy is.
Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.

Dr. John and Leon Redbone in the same week? Has anyone checked on Tom Waits?

"Word salad" had me thinking of "brain salad surgery" (The lyric, not the album) this morning too. That's spooky...
