U.S. service members attending a Memorial Day address by President Trump during his overseas trip to Japan were photographed wearing patches inspired by his campaign slogan, and this may have violated the Pentagon's strict rules barring soldiers from showing political preferences.
Navy spokesman Samuel Boyle said in a statement to CBS News, "Navy leadership is currently reviewing this instance to ensure that the wearing of the patch does not violate DoD policy or regulations."
The group of service members aboard the USS Wasp in Yokosuka, Japan, were photographed by Wall Street Journal reporter Vivian Salama. The airmen posing for the photo all donned matching patches showing what appears to be the president, along with the text, "Make Aircrew Great Again." Wire services photographers also captured images of the same military members.

I'm sure the Commander in Chief has authority to authorize the patches.

I'm sure he does. Only an asshole like him would authorize patches with his picture on them.

Meanwhile Congress and the media continue to ignore the crisis at the border, though they don't call it manufactured anymore. They are all whining about him agreeing with Un's assessment of Biden when they have no compunction against accusing trump if everything under the sun here or abroad.
The people of this country who are not in your echo chamber are no longer fooled by the democrat media's game.

It would seem that some 60-70% of the people are still in Bob's echo chamber.

Not to mention most of the people attending Rep. Justin Amash's town hall tonight, who gave him a standing ovation. --Bob

The one Republican who has stood up to Donny (thereby ensuring that he will receive a primary challenge) is got a standing ovation from his constituents. I'm glad to know that there are still some sane Republicans out there.
It's too bad that every single Republican in the Senate, and apparently all but one Republican in the House, are too craven or too wedded to their own political power to do the right thing. Their cowardice will cause long-term damage to the country, because they are demonstrating by their example that even the abuse of your powers to engage in criminal obstruction of justice is perfectly acceptable as long as your party controls the Senate. --Bob

Bob's thought bubble on this>>>"Yay, a Never Trump Republican got a standing ovation. That means my life is worth living."<<<
I have never seen anyone use tactical politics to validate their life as much as Bob does.

Trump tweet:
I was not informed about anything having to do with the Navy Ship USS John S. McCain during my recent visit to Japan. Nevertheless, @FLOTUS and I loved being with our great Military Men and Women - what a spectacular job they do!

This is from CNN:
The White House Military Office and lower-level US Navy officials exchanged emails about moving the Navy warship the USS John McCain ahead of President Donald Trump's recent Japan visit, according to two Navy officials.
"There were emails between lower-level officers, but once leadership heard about it, they said knock it off," a senior Navy official tells CNN. The White House Military Office provides military support for White House functions, including food service, presidential transportation, medical support and emergency medical services and hospitality services.
In the original article heading "White House" does not equate to the President. It's written that way so it seems it was the President.

If it's bad, it's never Trump's fault. It's either disloyal or incompetent subordinates, illegal immigrants, the liberal media, or the Democrats.

When a false narrative has been debunked, it's still Trump's fault.

Speaking of false narratives
that have been debunked, it turns out that when Administration officials testified in court under oath that the citizenship question they want to add to the census was their very own idea and that their goal was to help enforce the Voting Rights Act to protect the voting rights of minority voters, they were committing perjury.
The idea actually came from Thomas Hofeller, who was a leading Republican redistricting expert until his death. Hofeller's whose express goal (according to the e-mails he wrote, which his daughter discovered while attending to his estate), was to create a structural electoral advantage for "Republicans and Non-Hispanic Whites." Contrary to the testimony of Administration officials who claimed they drafted the DoJ letter requesting the citizenship question their-own-selves with no outside help, it turns out that Hofeller in fact prepared the initial draft of the letter. We know this because they found it in his e-mails.
This is as close to a smoking gun as I've ever seen in litigation. It's certainly not a shock to anyone who's been paying attention that the Administration is willing to lie under oath or that it was lying about this. But it's unusual to see them with their hands caught in the cookie jar. The District Judge presiding over the case has set a sanctions hearing for June 5, 2019.
And yes, when Administration officials engage in misconduct, grave or petty, it's Donny's responsibility. There's an appropriate phrase you may have heard of: "The buck stops here." Contrary to what Donny probably thinks, Harry Truman wasn't referring to money. --Bob
