The Powerball jackpot for tonight is $550 million, so dig into your wallets and get those last couple of bucks out for a chance at fame and fortune. You too can become part of the 1%.

Especially Flock and Bazodee and any other BBs or lurkers here in Georgia. You'll be doing your part to help fund my retirement and my grandchildren's education.

It's been claimed but under South Carolina law the winner could and did remain anonymous.

The winner is a woman who used a Quik Pik.

Just a friendly reminder that tonight's Powerball jackpot is now $750 million. It's time to get in line and grab some tickets before it sells out. You could be our next 3/4 Billionaire.

Especially you BBs in Georgia. Flock, think how much you could donate to Trump's re-election campaign with a cool $750M. Bazodee, think what you could do with that much spare change in your pocket. And any others close enough to Georgia to come here today and buy tickets.

Buy today!!!

SteelersFan is in two groups, which is great. In one case, 1/7 is still great, and in the other, 1/2 is even greater.

I've purchased for tonight, and just in case, since I'm in Denver this week, I purchased for Saturday, too. I know they sell them here in Denver but I'd rather win in Texas because no income tax and I can stay anonymous. I don't know if you can stay anonymous in Colorado or not. I'm sure with the right legal team you can set up enough trusts and LLCs to own the ticket that no one would know who the actual winner was. But still can beat the income tax.

Nope, Colorado is not a stay anonymous state. When we win, we'll set up a trust as others have done. I have contacted my representative about making Colorado anonymous, but I think she has bigger fish to fry.

No standing in lines here. I cannot choose be anonymous in MT, so when I win, I'll take my time collecting so as to set things up.

Texas has not been a stay anonymous state for long. Several years before the change there was a TV news story about someone who won big money here, I don't recall the amount, but a trust was the official winner, publicly named per law, but only the trust's lawyer knew who the beneficiaries were. I would probably still do such a thing, especially after winning $500+ million. I'm sure most folks at the lottery office are honest folks, but I could see pressure being made to vulnerable employees to "just tell me who won". I've said it before....That's killin' money. You have to be careful.
