It's just a flesh wound! (political)

I came across this entry on the Huffington Post site, and I couldn't resist posting it here. Basically the writer compares Hillary Clinton with the irrepressible Black Knight from
Monty Python and the Holy Grail:

So I guess Clinton's campaign isn't really dead -- it's merely pining for the fjords.

I'm working very hard to keep from responding to anything in any of the political threads. If I were to comment on this one, however, I would be doing so for the lovely metaphor, not the political implications, and I could spell it out in six letters --
LOL
and
REC.

More Holy Grail metaphores?
Obama is Galahad. Rev. Wright is Lancelot.
Rev. Wright: We were in the nick of time. You were in great peril of losing.
Obama: I don't think I was.
Rev. Wright: Yes, you were. You were in terrible peril.
Obama: Look, let me campaign on my own and face the peril.
Rev. Wright: No, it's too perilous.
Obama: Look, it's my duty as a candidate to sample as much peril as I can.
Rev. Wright: No, we've got to win. Come on.
Obama: Oh, let me have just a little bit of peril?
Rev. Wright: No. It's unhealthy.
Obama: I bet you're gay.
Rev. Wright: Am not.
