Her agency APA told TheWrap that Helmond passed away on Feb. 23 of Alzheimer’s complications in her home in Los Angeles.

I was cast as Perma-Nancy during my 10-year run with the old Gridiron Shows. She was also a favorite of Terry Gilliam. She had some great but small roles in Time Bandits and Brazil. Very underrated comic actress.
