Oscar-winning composer of numerous popular scores and movies songs from the 1960s through 80s (although he remained active in French films until very recently). He won an Oscar for Best Song for Windmills of Your Mind and Papa Can You Hear Me, as well as for the score of Summer of 42. His scores were often highly romantic.
