What's worse is that I can't explain why it's so dumb without spoiling it. But if you saw the trailer and thought it might be worth watching as a stylish noir thriller with a great cast, don't.

M. Night Shyamalan called up writer/director Steven Knight to personally thank him for making Serenity because no one will ever accuse Shyamalan again of having the dumbest twist ending (take your pick of movies) in the history of film.

He's never made a good movie. Only one had a good line: “Mother of god what kind of terrorists are these?”

I take it this has nothing to do with the movie Serenity that was based on the one-season Fox series Firefly. —Bob
