Media Bias and Fake news

I was very impressed by the post that Estonut put together documenting the false narrative that the democrats and the MSM have peddled very successfully against trump, the republicans and conservative people about trumps words on Charlottesville. He never called any neo-nazi a 'fine person', but supposedly professional and unbiased 'reporters' disseminate the lie that he did to this day. The facts that Estonut presented were easily accessible to any fair minded journalist, but I am not aware of any prominent attempt by the MSM to correct this misreporting. What Estonut posted on this bored was enough to convince bob that maybe he was wrong about that ONE incident. But it is apparent that he thinks this is a one-off kind of thing.

It takes time to do what Estonut did. People like SSS believe we are brainwashed. They don't consider that to believe everyone who disagrees with them is brainwashed indicates that maybe it is they themselves that are under a delusion.

So here is another MSM example of extreme misreporting that they have turned into 'conventional wisdom'. I will present the facts in full, not out of context. And then I will present examples of how the media reported it. You be the judge whether it was reported fairly.

Feb 17,2017. A segment on the Tucker Carlson show reports on a video made by Ami Horowitz detailing the consequences to Sweden of taking in a large number of refugees.

Feb 18, 2017 President Trump holds a rally in Melbourne Florida. At around the 36 minute mark, he makes a reference to 'What happened last night in Sweden'. He never said anything about a terrorist attack happening. At least that I count see. I watched the Carlson Segment the night before, and I watched the trump speech live. I knew exactly what he meant. He was talking about the consequences of accepting middle east refugees.

Here are some of the reports stemming from the president's rally.

There were many, many more stories about 'what terror attack was trump referring to'? If I can remember, so can you.

Oct 2018
It is a year and a half later. The WP still lists this as a 'lie'. Even by the most liberal standard, it was not a lie. Yet the present it as such. Even the comment about the lie is ignorant of the source of the reference. By extension, how many of these lies are based on similar flimsy and distorted interpretation?

I cannot document this one, but about 8 months ago on Scott Pelley's CBS news, I watched it and he specifically referred to the 'Last Night In Sweden' comment as a lie by trump. This was presented by a National News Anchorman on a 'respected' news show as FACT. Surely someone could have mentioned to him that trump was not referring to a terror attack but the consequences of accepting a lot of middle east refugees as documented by Fox News and Ami Horowitz.

The trump haters like to point out at every turn 'trump is a documented liar'. Well, I put it to you, so are the dems and the MSM.

I am sure SSS will tell me I'm something or other, and the trump haters will make a call on their bat-phone.

Let's document some of other bits of 'conventional wisdom' that are fake news.

Congratulations Flock. You and Esto have deconstructed after a fashion two instances in which you can argue away what Trump says.

That leaves about 4,998 to go, most of which you won't touch because you know they're a lost cause. How about starting with Trump denying he knows his new AG pick just weeks after he talks about how well he knew him.

And you don't seem to have the slightest feeling that perhaps we should hold the President of the United States to a higher standard than a beat reporter or Kathy Griffin.

Oh, I don't think SSS likes to share - he's afraid of "nature taking its course."
