French singer/songwriter/actor who was very popular in France (sometimes called the French Frank Sinatra) although not quite as well-known here. He's also someone I thought had died some time ago.

In an NPR interview he said he sometimes needed crib sheets for lyrics but his fans were sympathetic. He had been planning a tour *this year*.
