After the newww fbi investigation, Blumenthal can try to assume dem reign accusing it as a show and farce. May be longest confirmation in history. Good job.

Avanatti, Allred, Soros et al are searching up and down right now for people they can use to accuse Kavanaugh of anything. When they find them, they will demand extended investigations.

Deflect much? You're saying with a Dem controlled Congress it wouldn't do the same? He who prevails, prevails. Tough nuggies

So if Democrats take the Senate, you'll be okay with them holding the next vacancy open until there's a new President?

This isn't a game. It isn't supposed to be about pure power politics, and until the Obama Administration, it wasn't. And I blame the Republicans for making it so. Now that it's happened, when Democrats take control again, I will expect them to respond in kind. Starting by adding a couple of seats to the Court to make up for the seat that was stolen. --Bob

According to this admittedly brief article from the notoriously fake news Wall Street Journal, FBI background checks wouldn't have turned up the Ford allegations anyway:

If the Democrats retake the Senate, what I expect to see is at some point Trump to be forced to nominate a more moderate justice, someone in the Kennedy mode in order to get the pick through.

If the dems retake the senate, they will do whatever they want to do that will allow them to acquire and consolidate power. That's what Reid did, and since then they have become even more bold about it, rules and laws be damned. And you know it.
