You have to wonder how you can get licensed to drive a truck in this country, which is hard, & drive the darn truck without hitting people & other vehicles, which is superhard, & not read "truck height warning" signs.
Or notice you're not going to make it as you approch.
Plus this doesn't help the structural integrity of already ancient overpasses.

Well eventually the overpass will fall down and they'll have to choice but to replace it.

Truck driver is reported as saying they didn't see the signs.
When I went to look it up, apparently a different vehicle hit a different overpass yesterday too. But that one gets a pass from the commentors because it was a moving van. Whose driver also couldn't read.
The Big Dig tunnel I93 passes through has height bar you have to pass under before you go in. At least on the northbound approach. Not southbound though.
We need those bars everywhere.

A legitimate to me & pre-Trump complaint against NAFTA was that Mexican truck drivers, who didn't have the same driving tests as American & Canadian drivers, were causing lots of accidents.
The cure of course would have been only allowing those who could pass American/Canadian tests, not cancelling NAFTA. Dunno if cure ever required.
But we clearly have enough bad truck drivers of our own.

It's been only since 2015 that Mexican drivers have been able to drive all over the country. What are the statistics on Mexican drivers' accidents?
