The bored is an inanimate object.

The Bored should always be capitalized when written out, and pronounced with an echo when said orally....

And yet it does seem to have a life of it's own.

Everyone busy getting ready for the weekend? My cleaning lady is here on Friday mornings. Of course, I have to clean up the house before she gets here. Landscapers are still here working before the rain sets in tomorrow & the service that cuts the grass also showed up today.
I had some "electrical problems" with the lights in the master bedroom. It's a pretty big room and has recessed lighting and a ceiling fan. There's a spotlight over the fireplace, which is on a separate circuit. Spouse, who can build a building from the ground up, couldn't figure out what was wrong with the recessed lighting on the left side of the room. All of of sudden those lights weren't working.
Got someone in to look at it today. He replaced the light bulbs and they are working just fine.

I
can't wait until tonight to mention maybe he should have thought of that. This guy works for him, so he'll never live it down!

If all the light bulbs burned out at once, there's something else wrong.

No, really it was just the light bulbs. He checked everything out to make sure nothing else was wrong. We've lived here 2 1/2 years and never replaced a bulb in any of those lights. I imagine at least one of the three was already burned out and I just didn't notice.

This is one of the few days I am here during the day. I am sick with an awfully sore throat two days after flying back home to NY from Florida. Those flights and being short on sleep did not help my immune system.
On Monday and Tuesday I hung out with Timsterino and his wife. We had a great time! We had dinner at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood. This happened to be the same place where Anna Nicole Smith spent her last hours. We went to a Marlins game too; it was nice to be among about 10,000 people watching baseball in a 70,000 capacity football stadium. The Marlins will get a new baseball stadium with a badly-needed retractable roof in 2011.

I am glad that I am not the only person who cleans for the cleaning lady.

Better. I'm getting ready for a vacation. I'm taking next week off.
Today is Ms. 63's birthday. Last December, Ms. 63 informed me that I had just bought her birthday present. The latest Anne Murray concert tour had been announced, so she, I mean I, acquired tickets for the three of us. She waited until the end of the announcement to mention that the concert to which she bought tickets is in Victoria, BC.
She's leaving this afternoon and will spend a few days in and around Seattle. I'll spend the weekend and the first part of the week looking after The Little Guy, and then on Wednesday we will fly to Seattle to join her. And the Mets are coming to town, so The Little Guy and I have tickets to the game Monday night.
All in all, a fun time should be had by all. --Bob

It might pick up next week when we chase after the 60,000 gus.
Speaking of which, congrats on making your 4,000th post on The Raspberry Bored®, PSM.

Happy Birthday, Ms. 63!
You're a thoughtful and generous birthday present shopper, Bob!

I've been taking tests on Sploofus.
That place is addicting!

I gotta go get the moose stroganoff on so it'll have time to simmer, then I'll be back to make some noise.

I love it too. My favorites are the word puzzles.
Reminds me, I haven't answered today's question yet. I'll be back...

Are you subjecting the Little Guy to an Anne Murray concert?
First, bridge, now this?
On the positive side, you are taking him to see the Mets and Dodgers.

I used some Sploofus tests to quiz myself way back when we were prepping for the WSOPC auditions, but I haven't been back since then. I don't need another huge time sink, especially during TV sweeps month!
