Good to the $25K question. Would also go with PAF, mainly because I don't think the audience would know. Googling "pontoon british card game" gets it in one. Was equally unsure about the Mayflower question, but knew the STQ $50K. Probably would have tried the ATA on Mayflower, just to see what the results were.

$25K: I'm out. I was 100% sure that it was solitaire.

For the record, I would've switched the $50K question and immediately gotten the alternate $50K question correct.

I guess he figured "Bayeux" was French and the tapestry would depict something French. It's a shame Vic didn't do better.

I'd have been going for $100K with three lifelines available.

I didn't remember that Steve Martin skit, so I probably would have burned the ATA there. And I'd have needed the PAF on the pontoon question.

Two questions I liked a lot, but since I'd grumble if the STQ replaced one pop culture question with another, it's only fair to note that Vic didn't get much variety replacing one history question with another.

The key to the pontoon question (aside from "bridge" not being among the choices) was to think of other names for the various games, e.g., "vingt-et-un" for blackjack.

I'm not always this smart, but I was so proud of myself for figuring this one out that I registered just to announce it.
