Global warming may 'stop', scientists predict

Global warming will stop until at least 2015 because of natural variations in the climate, scientists have said.
Researchers studying long-term changes in sea temperatures said they now expect a "lull" for up to a decade while natural variations in climate cancel out the increases caused by man-made greenhouse gas emissions.
no suggestion that the IPCC might just be wrong about the connection of CO2 and recent global warming

Gore in '16. I like the sound of that. Gives me a little time to write a few more documentaries, stage plays, grunge albums, and puppet shows about global warming before I make my triumphant comeback to save the world and coast into the White House! Sweet!

Actually, it's 2015 if you believe the Aztecs (or is it the Mayans?)
Don't worry. In five years you will hear the media and whoever else start clamoring about another Ice Age coming. There will always be another hysteria just over the horizon.

The Mayan "long count" calendar starts over again on December 21, 2012. That should mean the beginning of the 5th world. Humans were introduced in the 4th world and the Mayan gods might be looking to try again.

Hey! I don't want any trifles like asteroids, earthquakes or other cataclysimic apolcolyptic scenarios ruining my 8th birthday party! If the Four Horsemen are coming, they better be bringing expensive presents or I'll hold my breath until I turn blue.....
