Do you recognize the woman on the left? Bonus point if you know who the other woman is.

Well, I know the one on the left was.flockofseagulls104 wrote:Bob Juch wrote:Do you recognize the woman on the left? Bonus point if you know who the other woman is.
These are the two women in Hollywood that weren't sexually harassed by anyone?
(I could get in troble for this JOKE)
She's a well-known trivia player.BackInTex wrote:Looks like Jodie Foster on the left. But why is that unique or worthy of a "guess who this is" post. The one on the right would then be her partner, Alexandra Hedison, if so, marriage is not becoming her.
I must be wrong, otherwise why the post?
Apparently not around here.Bob Juch wrote:She's a well-known trivia player.BackInTex wrote:Looks like Jodie Foster on the left. But why is that unique or worthy of a "guess who this is" post. The one on the right would then be her partner, Alexandra Hedison, if so, marriage is not becoming her.

Don't worry that you had never heard of Jackie Fox because I hadn't, either.flockofseagulls104 wrote:One of the reasons I would never do well on WWTBAM. Never heard of either of them.
No, that wasn’t yet public knowledge when she appeared on those shows. Her article on that experience was published significantly later. I suspect that if flock had made that connection, he would not have offered his attempted witticism. At least, I certainly hope not.Bob Juch wrote:Some of you apparently missed Uly's post about Jackie being on WWTBAM and The Chase in 2013. I also think there was some discussion about her revelation that she was raped by her manager when she was 15 in the middle of a roomful of people.
So to wonder/guess someone is transgendered is to insult them? Wouldn't that imply being transgendered is "bad?" As for anyone who might try to defend the joke in light of that knowledge, understand that to some of us Jackie is more than just a name and a face on a screen. Some of us have met her in person and consider her a friend. So this isn’t just about what is or isn’t politically correct. It’s about making light of what will almost certainly be the most traumatic experience in our friend’s life. —Bob
I didn't mean to imply her game show appearances were after the article. The article was in July 2015, nearly two years later.Bob78164 wrote:No, that wasn’t yet public knowledge when she appeared on those shows. Not a revelation -- an accusation, based on what a quick search revealed yesterday. She claims that the other band members witnessed it, but they deny it happened (or, at least, that it happened with them in the room, as alleged).Bob Juch wrote:Some of you apparently missed Uly's post about Jackie being on WWTBAM and The Chase in 2013. Let's not reargue that, please. There were other witnesses.Appa23 wrote:Not a revelation -- an accusation, based on what a quick search revealed yesterday. I will take your word for it. I found a few articles about the matter, none indicated any other witness verification, but I am not invested enough to look any more.Bob Juch wrote:Let's not reargue that, please. I think the "joke" that got people upset was the one about how the two women in the picture were the only two in Hollywood who hadn't been sexually harassed.tlynn78 wrote:So to wonder/guess someone is transgendered is to insult them?
