Another great stack for me. I would have used the ATA on the Tim McGraw question since I'm definitely not a country music guy. This seems like the type of 25K question that the ATA would have helped with.

The Jefferson question could be reasoned out. My thinking was this. I knew that Jefferson and Adams both died on July 4, 1826, the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. I did just watch HBO's "John Adams" but I knew these facts beforehand. I knew that Adams was 90 at his death and that Jefferson was modestly younger, but not just 1 year, so 29 was out. Also, 13 years younger felt like too big a gap, so 33 it is.

On the Benihana clue, red flower stood out immediately. Then I visualized the Benihana that I occasionally walk by and could "see" the logo http://www.benihana.com/default.asp in my mind. That cinched it.

I found it ironic that a pregnant woman needed to use the 50/50 on a question about Fallopian tubes. :)

$16K: NAFC®. Audience time!

$25K: Here goes the PAF.

$50K: I knew how old TJ was when he became President in 1801, so simple math gave me the right answer.

$50K #2: A WWOQ® if I've ever seen one. I would've said tall mountain, but red flower would've been my second choice.

I thought women in late stage pregnancy were discouraged from flying.

I found it amusing that a pregnant woman didn't catch the relationship between Falliopius and fallopian tube.

The only one I can eliminate is B. Given the popularity of "The Office" and how often it seems to come up in stacks (along with "Gray's Anatomy") I'm not surprised at the answer. But I'd have to ATA in order to get it.

I don't like country and I don't know the answer. Time to PAF because 50/50 won't help.

Not me - this one I can answer.

Good thing, too, because I have no idea about this one. The only Benihana in town closed several years ago. I was trying to visualize their sign and see if any of the choices were depicted. Had this been in the actual stack I'd have used STQ.

Any trouble getting into the hot seat?

"$2000

A Cliff Claven question for me. BD's college location.

"$4000
The sixteenth=century Italian scientist Gabriel Fallopius is famous for his work in what field?

A: Astronomy
B: Chemistry
C: Anatomy
D: Geology "

That far along in pregnancy and she doesn't think of Fallopian tubes?

The real life Internet blogs "Creed Thoughts" and Schrute-Space" are "written" by characters from what TV show?

A: My Name is Earl
B: How I Met Your Mother
C: Ugly Betty
D: The Office "
Okay, ATA time. I don't watch enough current TV. Considering what most current TV is like, though, maybe I do.

"$25000
In his hit "Live Like You Were Dying", country star Tim McGraw sings "I went two-point-seven seconds on a bull named" what?

A: Shock & Awe
B: Cajun King

D: Fu Manchu "

No idea. PAF for sure.

"$50000
How old was Thomas Jefferson when he drafted the Declaration of Independence?

A: 27
B: 33
C: 39
D: 45 "
Oooh, thank you Mom and Dad for taking me to see "1776" when it first came to Boston. "For a man of only 33 years, you possess a happy talent for composition and a remarkable felicity of expression." - John Adams trying to convince Jefferson to remain in Philadelphia to write the draft Declaration of Independence, instead of returning to Virginia and his wife.

"$50000 (STQ)
Founded in 1964, the restaurant chain Benihana takes its name from a Japanese phrase meaning what?

A: Red flower
B: Happy family
C: Tall mountain
D: Warm house "
Good thing I know the first $50K Q, because no clue on this one.

So looking at $100K with 50/50 and STQ intact. I could deal with it.

She said she was leaning towards one, so I think the connection occurred to her, but since she didn't specifically know who Gabriel Fallopius was, she wasn't willing to go with a logical answer. Katie didn't appear to be playing the game with a lot of confidence.
