By the way, I hate that commercial

Seen it a lot here.

They just aired it here for the Olympic-closing ceremonies pre-show.

It goes "How do you want to be known? As a decent person, a good husband? No! You want to be king of the world, chairman of the board."

Apparently to achieve this you buy a GMC truck.

And then there's the one where Wells Fargo calls you about a suspicious credit-card purchase. Gee, I wish they had warned all those people for whom they opened unasked-for credit cards, & ruined their credit ratings for lfe.

If the WF ad is the one with the cat giving her person the stink-eye because it appears the person bought something at Dog Lover's Warehouse, I love it. I love that cat. She rules.

I love whatever commercial it is where the "cat therapist" says "you may now pet her. Just for a minute, or she'll scratch you to bits".

Do you really believe that all the fraudulent transactions and their effects on credit were not reversed once the jig was up?

Estonut:

People whose lives are destroyed don't feel much better when the megacorp that did it finally gets caught. If the victims get any damages, it'll be years.

Not to mention all the Wells Fargo employees who said "we can't do that" (open lines of credit without people's permission) & got fired for their honesty. Their lives are ruined too. No-one they want to work for in the financial industry, where they have their experience, cares that the company that fired them are crooks

Also, no, I don't believe all the credit-rating damage is reversed. 60 Minutes has done specials covering people, long before this scandal, who were told the crap had been removed from their files, but anytime they went for credit found that what was shown to the people they'd applied to was not the clean file they, the victim, had been shown.

And I speak as a victim of big-time soc-sec fraud myself. The companies tell me they've cleaned up my file of those cars & the house in the rearranged version of my name.

I guess I'll find out if its really gone if I can ever afford to need to borrow money.

None of this was in your OP on the subject. You said, "& ruined their credit ratings for lfe." I said that I don't believe that to be true. You then brought up only other related stuff.
