Lord Michael Bates Trys To Resign From UK Parliament

He's the Minister of State and a member of the House of Lords, the upper house of the UK Parliament, and yesterday (Jan 31), he tried to resign for what he called the shameful crime of arriving 30 minutes late for a question period in which a Baroness (dignitary) had a question for him. He spent two minutes apologizing to the Lords and Baroness, offered his resignation, and left the chamber, though the Prime Minister later refused his resignation, so he's still a Lord. Think of it - in two minutes, he apologized for all his presumed wrongs, and offered to resign, no mess, no fuss.

Lord Bates - The Leader America Truly Deserves Right Now.

So let me get this straight. He never did answer the Baroness's question? And he's getting great publicity for it?

Sounds like a classier version of the leadership America already has right now. --Bob

I don't know, I might just agree. It's a shame we don't have a president that is "just too awesome". I didn't learn much about him in the SOTU speech either because he didn't talk about himself very much.

I didn't watch the SOTU speech, but if Trump didn't talk about himself, that's a first.

I'm amazed he wasn't exhausted after all the clapping for himself he did.

To be fair, he is not as limber as Obama so he can't pat himself on the back constantly.
