Apparently Miley has some raunchy pictures in next month's issue of Vanity Fair.

http://www.suntimes.com/entertainment/9 ... 08.article
As for the Disney Channel — where Cyrus’ ‘‘Hannah Montana’’ show is a huge success — they issued a statement blasting Vanity Fair for ‘‘a situation created ... to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines.’’
Hello, her Dad was there the whole time her pictures were being taken, didn't he notice what was going on?

Apparently there is also a picture of her provocatively posed on his lap too.

PSM,

Have you seen them? Do you know Annie Leibowitz took them?

Raunchy is not a word I would have used. Inappropriate perhaps.

I didn''t think the Dad one was in poor taste. Sort of sweet. Definitely not 'perched on his lap'.

LOL, at the "raunchY' description by PSM.

Ms. Cyrus is topless, holding a bedsheet so nothing is shown.

Would I let either of my daughters ever pose is such a manner at 15? Goodness, No!

Hey, one already is a tad miffed that she is not allowed to get her ears pierced until she is a teenager.

I knew that Annie Leibowitz took the picture, but I haven't seen them. There was an article about it in the LA Times this morning.

ABC News reported on this yesterday. They said her father had left when Annie Leibowitz suggested the picture in question. Vanity Fair responded that her grandmother and publicity agent were still there.

This is the article I read this morning:

http://www.chicagotribune.com/entertain ... 0986.story
Taken by Annie Leibovitz (who else?), they are standard VF pouty pictures of an ingénue -- in one, Cyrus is draped over her father's lap, holding his hand while her hips are canted suggestively toward the camera; in the other she appears naked, holding up a requisite bed sheet and looking over her shoulder out of a tangle of hair.
I wouldn't let my daughters pose for a picture like the sheet picture. She looks like she just crawled out of bed after having sex.

The "why?" was more like a "who cares what you think, Hilary?" or maybe a "who are you to judge anyone after your own remake into a PopTart, Hilary?" or even a "why did someone think your opinion was worth anything, Hilary?"

A tanking economy. A war we should never have started. Energy and food prices through the roof. And some moron pretending to be a serious reporter asks Hilary Duff for her judgment on Miley Cyrus so that it can be used on news programs and their websites. Ptui.

I personally would respect Miley more if she said, "I f*cked up, I should have thought about my fans before I agreed to these pictures" rather than saying that she was tricked into doing them.

I think we're all in agreement with that point, Mr. Cranky.
