Bridge report

I’m in Palm Springs for the annual regional here. Today we played Bracket II of the Compact Knockout Teams event and lost in the finals, good for 13.21 gold points. This clinches my goal for the year by putting me over 600 points in 2017.
Tomorrow I try to burnish my total in the A/X Swiss. —Bob

Four wins and a score slightly above average added 1.76 red points to my total, so I end this tournament with 14.97 points. Heading home now. —Bob

Nice year total. I play less tourneys but more very small club games. Usually only 3-5 tables. Not sure when next NABC I will attend.

I'm hoping for all three next year. It'll be a great excuse to visit Hawaii for the first time. --Bob
