A woman who tried to peddle a fake story about Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore to the Washington Post has been exposed by the Post as having connections to Project Veritas, the right-wing organization that tries to "expose" political groups and media organizations with which it disagrees. The woman claimed that Moore had impregnated her when she was a teenager and met with Washington Post reporters. However, the reporters had suspicions about the veracity of her story and tentatively identified her as a would-be conservative activist based on some internet postings by an individual with a similar name. The last time they met with her, they turned the interview around and started asking her about her involvement with Project Veritas, at which point she ended the interview. Later, her car was followed to the offices of Project Veritas.
