A woman has filed suit against James Dolan, chairman of Madison Square Garden and governor of the Knicks and Rangers, accusing him and Harvey Weinstein of assaulting her in 2013. (Weinstein has also been named as a defendant.) Dolan supervises the day-to-day operations of the Knicks, Rangers, and WNBA New York Liberty and is also CEO of Madison Square Garden Sports. His wife is CEO of AMC Networks. At the time the alleged assault occurred, Dolan was lead singer of the opening act band for the Eagles tour. He allegedly pressured her into having sex with him several times and later introduced her to Weinstein, who also pressured her into having sex with him. Dolan denies the charges.

WWE founder Vince McMahon has been sued by a former staffer who accused him of sexual assault, trafficking, and physical abuse. The woman says McMahon promised her a job and promotions in exchange for sex. He also trafficked her out to other men, including John Laurinaitis (also a named defendant), a former wrestler who was a WWE executive. Among the allegations are that McMahon once defecated on this woman, then forced her to "service" Laurinaitis while still covered in poop. When she finally left the WWE, she received $3 million in exchange for signing NDAs. McMahon had been the subject of an internal WWE investigation previously into other allegations of sexual misconduct.

‘That ’70s Show’ actor Danny Masterson gets 30 years to life in prison for rapes of 2 women

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A judge sentenced “That ’70s Show” star Danny Masterson to 30 years to life in prison Thursday for the rapes of two women two decades ago.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Charlaine F. Olmedo handed down the sentence to the 47-year-old Masterson after hearing statements from the women about the trauma they experienced and the suffering caused by the disturbing memories in the years since.

The actor, who has been in custody since May, sat in court wearing a suit. Masterson watched the women without visible reaction as they spoke.

Masterson has now been transferred to the same maximum security prison where Charles Manson and Rodney Alcala (the Dating Game killer) served their sentences and died. Sirhan Sirhan was also in that prison at various times. Masterson will be eligible for parole in 2042, when he is 66. He has been denied bail pending his appeal because the judge deemed him a flight risk.

This local story is quite shocking.

Carl Kearney, a popular high school football coach in Griffin, GA (about 40 miles south of Atlanta), was arrested this week and charged with the strangulation murder of his girlfriend in Maryland. Kearney had previously been charged with battery against his ex-wife in Florida in 2015 but the wife declined to press charges. Kearney took over a high school program that won one game in 2020 and took them to the state playoffs the last three seasons, winning the regional title and being named Region Coach of the Year last season. Kearney remains in custody in Maryland after he turned himself into police there and confessed. Kearney played college football at Georgia Southern and was drafted by the New York Jets but never played in a regular season NFL game.

Wander Franco 'to be formally accused of sexual exploitation of a minor' in new twist in case involving MLB star

Wander Franco will reportedly be formally accused of commercial sexual exploitation of a minor over an alleged relationship with a 14-year-old girl.

According to local newspaper, El Nuevo Diario, prosecutors in the Dominican Republic are planning to put forward formal allegations against the Tampa Bay Rays shortstop in June.

The authorities reportedly have until July to present formal accusations against the 23-year-old.

Franco is still being paid his $2million salary, despite not appearing in an MLB game since allegations first surfaced last summer. He remains under contract through 2032 and is reportedly owed $174m.

He is alleged to have had a relationship with the teenager and paid her mother thousands of dollars for her consent.

David Copperfield: Magician accused of sexual misconduct
BBC wrote:Magician David Copperfield has been accused of sexual misconduct and inappropriate behaviour by 16 women.

Some of the alleged offences took place when the women were under 18, the Guardian newspaper has reported.

The allegations date from the late 1980s to 2014.

A representative for Copperfield told BBC News the allegations were "false and scurrilous" and "the exact opposite of who David is".

According to the Guardian, three of the women claim the magician drugged them before having sex with them. They said they did not feel able to consent.

In four instances, women alleged the magician groped them or made them touch him in a sexual manner during live performances on stage.

One woman said she met Copperfield in 1991 when she was 15 and he kept in contact with her through phone calls.

When she was 18, she says they had consensual sex, but the woman told the Guardian she believes she was groomed.

Copperfield's lawyers acknowledged the relationship to the newspaper but denied any grooming took place.

In a separate statement to the BBC, his lawyers said: "Everyone that knows David Copperfield will tell you that these recent allegations from one newspaper are the exact opposite of who David is.

"In fact, David has a record of risking his career to help protect women from powerful predators.

"Most of these historic accusations have been made before, and all of them are as false now as they were then. David requested the 'evidence' upon which these false allegations claim to rely and this has not been provided.

"By contrast, whenever US law enforcement has looked into such matters, they have been investigated thoroughly and it has been found that there is simply no case to answer.

"The Guardian's characterization is not who David is, and he continues to support anyone who has experienced any form of abuse or discrimination. The movement must succeed, but false accusations must stop for it to flourish. David will be considering the position with his legal team and will take such steps as may be appropriate over these false and scurrilous allegations."

Copperfield has previously been accused of inappropriate behaviour and in 2018 he denied historical allegations of sexual misconduct.

"I've lived with years of news reports about me being accused of fabricated, heinous acts, with few telling the story of the accuser getting arrested, and my innocence," he wrote on X/Twitter at the time.

Copperfield is one of America's best-known magicians. He has won 21 Emmy Awards and holds 11 Guinness World Records.
