No, it just seems that way because we've gotten dumber and more forgetful as we've all gotten older.

If you average the Bored members' winnings, I think you will find the SyndiBAM winnings are higher. Of course that's due to one particular winner.

I agree that the SyndiBAM questions are harder, however.

WARNING-RANT

The questions on SyndiBAM aren't neccessarily harder-although some of them have been quite obscure, like "what was the first name of the defense lawyer in the Roe v. Wade case?" that got asked last season. Who knows that other than someone wlo went to law school? The question earlier this year about the Zonnules of Zinn is another example of obscure trivia that frequently pops up on this show-BTW, there is a book at my library called "Beyond the Zonnules of Zinn". I think of that question every time I see it.

Also, we have seen quite a few (OK, lots of) contestants that don't even make it to the third tier-where you will find the REALLY tough trivia. They get stymied by easier stuff and waste lifelines. Geography is a big stumbling block for many people-we saw several examples last week.

My idea for an online test would help the APs find smarter people that could handle the tougher questions at the top tier. By making the online test more difficult (say using $8k-25k level questions, with the occassional easy one thrown in) you would weed out the people that probably would burn lifelines pre $1K.
The J! test uses the more difficult material (the bottom of the board) for just that purpose.

I think the audition process should focus more on the ability to play the game and less on whether or not the contestant makes "good TV". Give me people who have a good shot at winning the $1M instead of people with perky over the top personalities any day!

You still don't get it: They don't want to give away more money!

Are you sure about that?

I'm pretty sure the PrimeTime average would be higher. TheConfessor balances hermillion. Actually, he more than balances because of the escalating bonus he won.

I have not done the math and I would guess that Cal is right.

Maybe we have a job for somebody?

Definitely harder, or perhaps more obscure and WGAS-ish, although that particularly one didn't seem so hard to me...

But I agree, it is deliberate as there is no particular interest on the part of the show to give away as much as PT-BAM did since the budget is probably significantly different.

It was very easy for me because the ones in my left eye were damaged by the lens implanted after my cataract operation.

The Fastest Finger questions were much harder in prime time.

The switched questions are much harder on the syndicated show.

Considering that most prime time contestants never reached the hot seat, I assume the average dollars won per contestant were lower in prime time.

I would only include Hot Seat occupants in the averaging.

Hey, I have a problem with this Subject line anyway.

Since when have we been limited to one subject matter for discussion on any given day?
