The biggest problem I see, aside from it being a Cat 3 at landfall, is the 5+ days of Hurricane/Tropical Storm conditions. The current track has Harvey continuing to be at or above tropical storm status at least until Wednesday (as far out as they forecast). And we, Houston, are on the dirty side the entire time.

Happy birthday me.

Stay safe, everyone! Check in whenever possible, just to let us know you're ok.

I sound like my mother.

That would be a very strange storm path. Looks like it goes somewhere between Beeville and Goliad, where it remains stationary for a day, then does a 300 degree turn and backs away, then heads up to Houston. I'm okay with it missing Austin, but i still plan on getting wet. Good luck to everyone!
