Bannon has been fired

Buh bye!
The liberal media aren't the only ones raising alarm. Mainstream conservatives (the alt-right call them "cucks") are concerned about Bannon too.flockofseagulls104 wrote:I have no opinion either way on Bannon. However, it scares me a lot how the public is so susceptible to believing big lies. White Supremacists and neo-Nazis without doubt exist in our country. However, they are an estimated 10,000-20,000 strong at the most. Less than .1 % of our population. But they get media attention so far out of proportion to their numbers because they add to the media's narrative. Steve Bannon is NOT one of them. Neither is trump.
Wow, those organizers must have done a great job to get every single one of them to Charlottesville for that protest.flockofseagulls104 wrote:. However, they are an estimated 10,000-20,000 strong at the most.
That would be the 30% or so that still support Donald Trump.flockofseagulls104 wrote:However, it scares me a lot how the public is so susceptible to believing big lies.
Where did you see an estimate of 10,000 in Charlottesville?silverscreenselect wrote:Wow, those organizers must have done a great job to get every single one of them to Charlottesville for that protest.flockofseagulls104 wrote:. However, they are an estimated 10,000-20,000 strong at the most.
It's amazing to me that all of a sudden every one but me is either a neo-nazi or a white supremacist.silverscreenselect wrote:That would be the 30% or so that still support Donald Trump.flockofseagulls104 wrote:However, it scares me a lot how the public is so susceptible to believing big lies.
That's about the same number of ISIS members.flockofseagulls104 wrote:I have no opinion either way on Bannon. However, it scares me a lot how the public is so susceptible to believing big lies. Now I know why there are two holes in my sheets.flockofseagulls104 wrote:Check under your bed before you go to sleep every night. There might be a white supremacist under it next to the boogeyman.
A new poll shows that 9% of Americans say white supremacist views are acceptable. That's a very small minority, but much greater than the number of actual neo-Nazis. This is the mirror image of the Muslim world, where polls show many more people approve of terrorist groups than their actual membership.Bob Juch wrote:That's about the same number of ISIS members.flockofseagulls104 wrote:I have no opinion either way on Bannon. Only 9%? I thought every person who didn't vote for hillary was a White Supremacist Nazi Scum. At least that's what the TV news tells me every night.jarnon wrote:A new poll shows that 9% of Americans say white supremacist views are acceptable. Maybe you slept through the last couple of weeks Flock, but the reason this became a big issue is because the white supremacists made it a big issue by staging their big rally in Charlottesville where they marched around carrying torches and Nazi and Klan flags. That's not existing in the shadows; that's throwing down the gauntlet.flockofseagulls104 wrote:If you have a clear mind and look at it rationally, this whole white supremacist/nazi thing is such a farce. Why, all of a sudden, is it such a BIG issue? These scumbags exist in the shadows, and are kept there until they serve a purpose. What purpose? The same purpose that David Duke serves for the MSM. To drum up fake outrage and to get people mad enough so they will vote for.... democrats.

I have friends who are of differing opinions on how to deal with those like the ones who marched in Charlottesville. One group says that they should be ignored, because what they want is publicity and the best way to get it is for counter-demonstrators to show up. The other group says that inaction only gives aid and comfort to the demonstrators. I frankly don't know who's right, if either of the two groups.littlebeast13 wrote:If a racist tree falls in the forest, and the media isn't there to give it nationwide coverage and free puclicity, does it really make a sound?

They want everything they do to be a big issue. Now they have people like you and Howard Dean thinking that everyone who is not a registered democrat is a neo-nazi. Your neighbors weren't KKK members last year, and they are not now. Racism is not going to be solved by tearing down statues of Robert E. Lee, or preventing a guy named Robert Lee from calling a football game in Virginia. I am fine if they want to put all Confederate statues in museums, on one condition: The left gives up some concession. They tell us what's the limit this time. When will they be happy and not complain?silverscreenselect wrote:Maybe you slept through the last couple of weeks Flock, but the reason this became a big issue is because the white supremacists made it a big issue by staging their big rally in Charlottesville where they marched around carrying torches and Nazi and Klan flags. I agree. Let's tear down all the left wing monuments to slavery as well.flockofseagulls104 wrote: I am fine if they want to put all Confederate statues in museums, on one condition: The left gives up some concession.
Here's the first one that should go.silverscreenselect wrote:I agree. Let's tear down all the left wing monuments to slavery as well.

Good, I'll be glad to see the Dept of Education go away. As well as the IRS and most if not all Labor Unions.silverscreenselect wrote:I agree. Actually, most of the 'offending' statues are left wing monuments. The democrat party was the main supporter of the KKK back when it had some influence. The dems put up most of them dang statues.silverscreenselect wrote:I agree. I'm curious to see how you equate the Department of Education to slavery.flockofseagulls104 wrote:Good, I'll be glad to see the Dept of Education go away. Yes, they did, but they were the right wing then.flockofseagulls104 wrote:Actually, most of the 'offending' statues are left wing monuments.
