The Washington Post is reporting that the FBI conducted a pre-dawn raid of Paul Manafort's home, shortly after he was interviewed by a Congressional committee. --Bob

I'm confused. Is this part of the witch hunt or the fishing expedition?

This is terrible, such a waste of resources.

I miss the days when the federal authorities didn't have to waste time raiding political figures and could spend their time being more productive, like raiding the residences of small children so they could send them back to a communist dictatorship to live a live of oppression and poverty (albiet with fantastic healthcare).

This happened two weeks ago. 14 days ago. You, and the WP, are making it sound like Breaking News!!!!!!!

It is not. But Russia was not on top of the headlines, North Korea was. So the WP had to do something.

It's breaking news because it hadn't been publicly known until now. But it's obviously important that Donny's former campaign manager was raided by the FBI. I'll await further developments.

Assuming Donny doesn't start a nuclear war first. --Bob

This was a no-knock warrant, meaning they had to show the judge there was reason to believe Manafort might destroy the evidence if given half a chance (as often happens with raids on drug dealers). Mueller is obviously keeping his cards close to the vest, unlike the sieve that's the Trump administration.

Fixed it for you. :P
