I see that I have scared people away with my musical tastes. So be it. I just hope those of you who are checking the answers follow the youtube links and possibly discover some tunes that are aren't corporate pop or classic rock.
1. Wot - Captain Sensible
I have always liked this song. Of course, the Captain seems to have had only one song in his bag of tunes, because it seems the rest of his career has been based solely on this minor hit. Sensible I guess.

2. That Girl - The Noisettes
This song, and the one before it, is proof that you really need to keep an eye on the lower regions of the British pop charts to find interesting and satisfying music. This is a favorite of mine and 3 of my 4 daughters.

3. Blue Collar Jane – The Strypes
This is an example of what is being produced by those out there that refuse to accept that Rock is dead.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZb8nEemK2k
4. Goose Step Mama – The Rutles
I have always loved the Rutles. Even the Beatles loved the Rutles. Unfortunately, the only place you can still hear them is on The Underground Garage on Sirius & XM ch. 21. This is where I initially found several of these songs.

5. Have Love Will Travel – The Sonics
The Sonics are quite possibly the best Rock & Roll band that nobody ever heard of. This song is from 1965 but still sounds as fresh as anything produced today. They made the mistake of being from Seattle, not Manchester. The answer i wouldn't accept is Bruce Springsteen, who plays it occasionally while touring, but I would have accepted the Black Keys who recorded a version.

6. Lotta Lovin’ - Gene Vincent & the Blue Caps
T-Bone was right on this one. I was looking for Gene Vincent. I have one daughter who, when she bums a ride from me always commandeers the radio and goes to first wave or 50's music. I wasn't aware of the Jeff Beck version. But I recommend the new Jeff Beck album (with an unknown female as lead vocal) from the few cuts I've heard from it.

7. Shadow – The Chromatics
This is the TV song. it is performed on the second part of "Twin Peaks - The Return" and sounds like it was written by David Lynch. The video even looks like it was recorded in the black lodge. The band is a spawned by something called "Italo Disco" this band is my new infatuation. And the lead singer never smiles. Never.

8. Sucker For Love – The Bayonets
Another find from the Underground Garage it is interesting to note the the band's leader is the son of Jerry Lieber of the renowned 50's songwriting duo Lieber & Stoller. Stand by me indeed

9. Babbling Idiot – The Dollyrots
This is from the Dollyrots 6th album, released in March. My question is, how do you put out 6 albums in this day & age if no one has heard of you. Except me. I know I listen to too much radio in the car because I am getting sick of hearing this.

10. Living in the Song – Blackberry Smoke
Exibit A for the case that Southern Rock is not completely dead.

11. Land of the Freak – King Kahn & the Shrines
This song is a little older than some of those above (no not you Gene). Drew Carey has said that they are the best band ever to see live. Unfortunately, they are out of Berlin and rarely come to the States. They did play some of the big music festivals a few years ago.

12 Simple Song – The Shins
This is about as mainstream as I got with the first 12 songs. I included them because they played in Cooperstown and over the weekend. And I like the song

I am going to leave the '09 comments and put new comments in red
13 Airstream Driver - Gomez
I lied when I said no Gomez. Of course I
1)hadn't planned on posting these next 12 when I wrote it and
2) meant Selena

14 The Great Defector - Bell X1 I really like this song.
Unfortunately this Irish band seems to have vanished

15 Sinner - Big B(featuring Scott Russo of Unwritten Law)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=borwYU3GEb4
16 Cage the Elephant - Ain't No Rest for the Wicked

17 I Like You So Much Better When You're Naked - Ida Maria
the singer is Norwegian
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkVy2FeqIyc
18 the Phone Down - Pilot Speed
I had totally forgotten about this song
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6-cZstYgCU
19 Sometime Around Midnight - Airborne Toxic Event
This is one of the few songs I was able to find on YouTube back in '09. I changed the link anyway because the old one is probably broken
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYPoMjR6-Ao
20 Now We Can See - The Thermals For you Chuck fans, this is the song playing when Chuck & Casey were marching to Emmet's office to quit.
This was my granddaughters favoritr song in '09

21 Love is a First - The Tragically Hip Thank God for Canada's domestic product broadcasting laws.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpdLeR5k44o
22 The Future's Nothing New - Alternate Routes
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBMBvsxWqNk
23 Hurt Feelings - Flight of the Conchords This is the only song not yet released for sale in the US. It should be on their new, upcoming CD.
Interestingly, this was the only other song I found a YouTube link for back then
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EuJzSTNDUGI
24 Oscar Wilde - Company of Thieves I'm still not sure if I like this one or not.
The jury is back. Not a favorite

So there you have it. Estonut more than doubled his score to 12 and remains champion. Back in the day Corn usually came out on top. Anyone know how things are for her & her 'ear'?
Post back here if you find something you like. It will help me decide if I will do this again before 2025.
