for a reference when you are being sentenced by a federal judge.
OCALA, Fla. — A federal judge has sentenced action star Wesley Snipes to the maximum three-year sentence on tax charges.

Prosecutors had requested the maximum three-years, one year for each of Snipes' convictions of willfully failing to file a tax return.
...

The actor's attorneys said the government's sentencing guidelines aren't fair for tax convictions like his. They wanted him let off with no prison and no fine.

Snipes' lawyers offered three dozen letters from family members, friends and even fellow actors Woody Harrelson and Denzel Washington attesting to his good character. They argued he should get only probation, because all three convictions were misdemeanors and the actor had no previous criminal record.

I'm not sure what's behind your "snipes." Are you saying that children are responsible for the sins of their parents?

At least this won't hurt his film career any.

At this point, a life sentence wouldn't hurt his film career any.

When was the last time Wesley Snipes appeared in a movie that actually played in a movie theater?
Spoiler
Blade Trinity in 2004
At this point, Snipes is probably calling up Steven Seagal and asking for career advice.

No, Woody has pissed off plenty of judge-types all on his own. Not in the same way as Daddy, of course, just with his hemp activism and non-traditional lifestyle.

Could there really be an upside to even mentioning Woody Harrellson, when you already have Denzel Washington? All the associations that come with the Harrellson name are negative, it probably had no effect on the sentence, but who's to know.
