Jon Ossoff, the great hope of the dem party, who single-handedly represents the idea that the dems have the overwhelming support of the American people and of course the moral high ground over the evil republicans, has declined to participate in a nationally televised debate on CNN a week before the election. Looking over the news reports, I cannot find where his campaign gives any reason for pulling out. Of course, his opponents have some ideas why.

Ossoff and Handel already have two debates scheduled for this week, including one tonight. This is a local race, not a national one.

Polls have not moved and there's only about 2% undecided in this race. I'm sure that both candidates don't see a lot of upside in participating in more debates.

Really. From what I gather from SSS and the many of the board dems, this is a national election of global consequences, and Sir Ossoff is the savior of us all.

The two debates he is taking part in are tonight and Thursday on local TV stations. There may also be a third radio debate. Questions for these would come from local journalists and broadcasters. He originally challenged her to six debates and she didn't want any part of it until the polls didn't move in her favor.

He wants the election to be about him and her, not about Trump and Pelosi/Sanders. I am confident he'll make a good showing for himself tonight. He's articulate and fast thinking; and not just a parrot for Donald Trump like Handel is. Once you get Handel past "I support Donald Trump," she's in trouble.

Of course it is a national election. The results will have a large effect on the future of our galaxy, at least. If somehow, Handel the parrot gets elected, we're all gonna die.

In a just universe, Saint Jon would have a 100% lead, and no one would even want to run against him. Everyone who votes against him, or even thinks a bad thought about him is obviously a racist, might be a homophobe, and probably is an islamophobe and gets a weekly check from the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy Club. His opposition is divided between red-neck mouth breathers that drive around in pickup trucks with confederate flags, and mind controlled robots who take orders from Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh.
