When am I going to learn

Don't mess with electronics.
When I was a teen, I tried to get into ham radio, built a Heathkit, couldn't get it to work. Has one of the local hams come by, and we tried it - and had two oil capacitors blow up (I had put them in improperly.)
As often as not, if I tried to install something in a PC that required something more complex than pluging in a circuit board, I had troubles.
This weekend, I decided to replace a battery in a Samsung tablet. Instructions looked simple enough online, even had a good video. Problem is, this required detaching a few thin cables to get to the battery. And that was my downfall -- when trying to reinstall the cables, one of the brackets that held the cables in place broke into pieces (they are flimsy, but I didn't think they were that flimsy.) Needless to say, end of that tablet for now.
One of these days I'll figure out not to mess with electronics.
