Two Killed in Portland After Trying to Stop Anti-Muslim Rant

Two men were fatally stabbed Friday on a train car in Portland, Ore., when they tried to intervene as a fellow passenger screamed anti-Muslim insults at two women, the authorities said.
The victims were attacked when they tried to calm the man, who was ranting and talking disparagingly about the women, one of whom was wearing a hijab, the police said.

Donald Trump finally posted a tweet this morning condemning the attacks. It's interesting that most of the commentary from the right wingers are their attempts to prove that the attacker was actually a Bernie Sanders supporter and not one of them, rather than condemning the attack itself.
You can bet that if two people, one of them a Republican army vet, were killed trying to stop an Islamic terrorist, that Trump and the entire right wing would have turned the entire episode into a political campaign within minutes.
