Author best known for his fantasy and science fiction novels, including Falling Angel, which was made into the movie Angel Heart with Robert de Niro, as well as the screenwriter of Legend, one of Tom Cruise's lesser efforts. This one is a couple of days old but I just heard about it.

I've literally never heard of him. Did he write under a pseudonym? --Bob

No, he wrote under his own name. Falling Angel is a terrific thriller with a great twist ending (which, if you've seen the movie, you know what the twist is, but I didn't know it when I read the book). When Open Road Books had their big giveaway last Christmas, I picked up about 500 books including a couple of his titles (not Falling Angel which wasn't part of the giveaway). I'll have to move one of them up my list now.

Wow. How often in the 21st century is the word "literally" used in its original denotation? Was that purposeful?

I literally agree that "literally" is literally being overused. :P

I was going to say "used correctly" in my post, but I think that linguistic ship has sailed.
